Ridgeway View Family Practice would like to remind patients that on the 23rd of April at 3 PM the UK Government will run a test of their emergency alert system that will trigger a mobile phone to make noise and vibrate for 10 seconds.
It is important that if you are in an abusive household and have a hidden mobile phone you turn off the emergency alert or the phone itself preemptively to ensure you stay as safe as possible. If you are struggling with navigating these settings and believe it is safe to do so, you can turn off the phone entirely for the duration of the emergency alert.
