The Health Visiting team is based at Wroughton Health Centre and can be contacted via their direct telephone number 813044. They may also be reached be leaving a message on their answerphone or with the receptionist at Wroughton Health Centre or Station House Surgery, Chiseldon. They endeavour to return your call as soon as possible or within 24 hours on weekdays.
Although most people meet their health visitor when they have a young family, advising parents on concerns, they are here to meet the health needs of people of all ages.
Health visitors are all qualified nurses who have completed further studies specialising in how individuals develop and how they can maintain health. They therefore have a particular interest in helping people who wish to improve their health by stopping smoking, losing weight or changing their lifestyle. They also provide an advice point for young people where they may, in confidence, seek help and advice on a number of issues, including sexual health.
